Box fans are extremely powerful fans with a high ventilation capacity, ranging from 1520 to as much as 22560 m3/h! With the many types and sizes of box fans available at Ventilationland, they can be used for a wide variety of professional applications, from ventilating offices and businesses to providing extraction in commercial kitchens. Box fans are typically used only for exhaust air, not for supply air.
How does a box fan work?
Most box fans are weather-resistant and are placed outside on the roof. This minimizes the noise from the ventilation system. Through a duct system, a large number of rooms can be provided with exhaust air. The air is then expelled by the box fan.
The various box fans come with different types of motors, from highly energy-efficient EC motors to frequency-controlled 3-phase (type D) motors. In some variants, the motor is placed outside the airflow, preventing warm or contaminated air from coming into contact with the motor.
Advantages of box fans
- Extremely high capacity: With the option to purchase a box fan with very high ventilation capacity, there is a solution even for the largest applications!
- Professional application: The large capacity and heat-resistant designs make box fans particularly suitable for use in large, professional applications such as the ventilation of office buildings or commercial kitchens.
- Smoke gas extraction: The smoke gas versions are suitable for smoke and heat extraction (RWA) in case of fire. This significantly contributes to the safety of the building.
- Adjustable speed: The speed of all box fans is frequency or speed adjustable, depending on the type of motor. This prevents the box fan from running unnecessarily, saving energy and extending the fan's lifespan!
What box fans does Ventilationland offer?
Heat-resistant box fans
These box fans are suitable for continuous operation under an air temperature of 120 degrees. Therefore, these box fans are particularly suitable for use in commercial kitchens or other applications where hot air is extracted.
Smoke gas box fans
Smoke gas box fans have the added advantage of being able to extract smoke and heat during a fire for a minimum period of 2 hours. This type of box fan contributes to the safety of your building.
Adjustable box fans
With adjustable box fans, you can precisely control and set the fan speed to meet the required ventilation capacity. This minimizes noise and energy consumption to a minimum!
Insulated box fans
Insulated box fans have specially applied insulation material that minimizes the noise from the ventilation system. This type of box fan is very suitable for applications where the ventilation system needs to be installed mostly indoors, or where quiet ventilation is essential.
